Start a game with your friend(s)

One of you must start ("Host") the game, after which the other(s) can join.

In brief:

To start a game from the Lobby, click New Game. Select Private. You'll get a Room Code. Tell your friend(s) the Room Code. You may want to be speaking on a conference call on your phones to do this, or send a text. Wait for your friend(s) to appear in your Game Setup screen. You can add one or more bots if you need to fill seats. Then click Start Match. 

To join a game, once the game's host has sent you the Room Code, just enter it in the Room Code box at the lower left corner of the Lobby.

In more detail:

After clicking New Game in the Lobby, the Create New Table dialog appears. Select Private game so only your friend(s) can join. Click Create. This opens the Game Setup screen. A Room Code is shown above the Add Bots button. 

Give the Room Code to your friend(s), by speakerphone, text, or email. Your friend(s) simply type the code into the Room Code box in the Lobby to join you here in the Game Setup screen. After your friend uses the code, their name(s) will appear on your table.   You can add one or more bots if you need to fill seats. Then click or tap Start Match. 
The different Bots are:

• Beginner:  Does not consider multiple hand options; eager to make exposures; moves seem random.
  
• Advanced:  Tries to play as well as possible.
  
• Cagey:  Prefers not to expose jokers.
  
• HighScorer:  Prefers to make hands worth more than 25 points.
  
• Open: Avoids Concealed hands.
  
• Gardener:  Prefers to make hands with flowers; is more reluctant to discard flowers.
  
• Defensive: Pays close attention to others' exposures so as not to throw a win.
