Join a Public table and make new friends!

It's really easy to join an available Public table.

After you log into the game, you're in the Lobby, where you'll see tables appear when someone creates a Public table.

Make sure to observe the table's settings: is it using the same card as you? Is it set to Safety Off? Long Timer? If the table's settings are aggreeable, just click or tap on the table and then click Confirm

In the Game Setup screen, you should click Chat and say hello to the game's host.

It's easy also to set up a Public table to play with visitors. In the Lobby, click New Game

In the Create screen, choose if you want Safety On mode or Safety Off mode.
- Safety On is recommended for new users.
- When the Safety is Off, players might accidentally call "mahj" on an invalid hand, just as one can do in real life games.
If you set Safety Off for the table you are creating, the visual representation of your table on the Lobby will have a "Safety Off" flag on it. See below.

You can set a Long timer or a Short timer. If you're playing with just bots, the timers don't affect anything, but if you're playing with live people, the timers prevent overly long waits if somebody takes way too much time thinking on every turn. If you choose the Short Timer, the visual representation of your table on the Lobby will have a "Short Timer" flag on it. See below.

If you don't select Random seating, players will sit in counterclockwise order from when they joined the table. Leave it set on Public game and hit Create. This brings up the Game Setup screen.

On the Game Setup screen with your Chat box open, when your friend has taken a seat at the table, you can chat about whether to play with bots or wait for more people.

Below: in this scenario, Yvette has created a table with "Short Timer" and "Safety OFF." Those settings are not default, so the table is flagged with "Short Timer" and "Safety Off" labels. If the table is not flagged, then the default settings, "Long Timer" and "Safety ON," are set for that table.
